This limited release takes inspiration from traditional stout beers by utilising five distinct malts in the mash bill (distiller's malt, wheat malt, pale chocolate malt, Carafa 1 malt, and kiln coffee malt). The 'distiller's beer' (what the Scots call 'wash') is made like an Irish stout, which heavily affects the resulting distillation. It's a deeply complex bourbon that hits the palate with heavy notes of roasted coffee, dark chocolate and toasted nuts before a long and warming finish.
