The story of Whiskymofo actually starts back in 2011.

That's when Vinomofo was founded in a small garage in Adelaide with a simple idea: make discovering great drinks more fun, more accessible, and less intimidating.

What began as a passion project grew into one of Australia's most loved drinks communities, connecting hundreds of thousands of members with incredible wines and the stories behind them.

Along the way, we learned something important.

People don't just buy drinks. They buy experiences, stories, craftsmanship and discovery.

They want to explore, learn and share great bottles with great people.

Whisky deserved the same treatment.

So in 2024, Whiskymofo was born.

Initially launched as a monthly whisky event, the response was immediate. Thousands of whisky lovers joined the community, eager to discover new distilleries, rare releases and exceptional drams from around the world.

By September 2025, Whiskymofo had grown into a full-time destination for whisky lovers, and today more than 50,000 customers have joined the journey.

We work with distilleries and producers from around the world to bring unique and remarkable whiskies to Australian drinkers, while helping support the makers behind them.

Most importantly, we believe whisky should be fun.
