Why do we love this whisky?
Acquired by the legendary independent bottler Douglas Laing in 2019, the Perthshire-based Strathearn Distillery is a true champion of quality over quantity. Operating as an artisanal micro-distillery that produces no more than a single barrel of spirit each day, their entire ethos is built around hands-on craft and insanely small production runs. The unique bottle design is a nod to their "from small acorns, great oaks grow" philosophy. It's an exciting glimpse into the future of this rejuvenated Highland producer, proving you don't need a massive industrial setup to craft a seriously complex and downright delicious single malt.
