Why do we love this whisky?
Stauning distillery was founded back in 2005 in Western Denmark. These pioneering Danes operate with a grain-to-glass ethos at the heart of their operation, with their whiskies made from rye and barley grown just a bicycle-ride away from the distillery. While most distilleries now buy malt from industrial suppliers, the diligent team at Stauning employ traditional floor malting at their distillery; a labor-intensive, hands-on process. Talk about a labour of love.
