Why do we love this whisky?
Morris employs its 165-year history of fortified winemaking experience with accessible, award-winning single malt production. At the heart of the distillery's operation is 'Aurora', a heritage copper hybrid pot and column still from the 1930s, which they use to double-distil 100% local Australian malted barley. The distillery also holds the unique ability to finish its whisky in its own world-renowned Muscat and Apera (Sherry) barrels from the winery side of the business. This gives their single malts a rich, distinctly Australian flavour profile and allows them to do so at an absolutely unbeatable value-for-money price point. Morris' sharply-priced, impeccably-balanced, and undeniably Australian whiskies have quickly earned them a large following for their efforts, and one sip of this, mofo, and you'll just as quickly see why!
