Why do we love this whisky?
Situated on the banks of the mighty Murray River, Corowa Distilling Co is housed in a colossal abandoned flour mill that lay dormant for decades. The founders saw the region's massive potential, combining pristine river water with abundant local grain to create a fiercely independent Australian spirit. But it's the unique Riverina climate that truly shapes their whisky. The sweltering summer days and freezing winter nights force the liquid in and out of the oak casks at a rapid rate. This aggressive interaction with the wood means Corowa's whiskies develop a rich, complex and deeply mature profile far quicker than their Scottish counterparts.
