Why do we love this whisky?
Chivas Regal has been setting the global standard for blended Scotch since the 19th century, drawing heavily on the rich and fruity single malts produced at their spiritual home of Strathisla in Speyside. This historic distillery relies on pristine Scottish spring water and generations of local distilling knowledge to create a famously rich spirit base. For this particular 13-year-old expression, the master blenders have looked across the Irish Sea for inspiration. By introducing casks that previously held sweet and mellow Irish whiskey, they've created a brilliant homage to a shared Celtic distilling heritage. It's a masterful display of cask management that highlights the sheer versatility of the Speyside region while perfectly honouring the time-tested Chivas house style.
