Don't worry, try one of these

Why do we love this tequila?

The Reposado is made from 100% blue agave slow-cooked in traditional brick ovens, which is then masterfully aged for eight months in ex-bourbon casks.
The nose is a masterclass in aromas. Earthy cooked agave, agave nectar, candied orange peel, and toasty oak, along with subtle notes of hazelnut, clove and vanilla artfully imparted from the American whisky casks. Agave nectar, ripe orange peel and toasted hazelnut follow through on the exceptionally smooth palate, complemented by notes of bittersweet chocolate, cinnamon and clove in the lingering spiced finish.
This is a sipping tequila that inspires thoughtful contemplation and heartfelt celebration of the artisanal human touch.

Frequently Asked Questions

Clase Azul Reposado stands apart through its traditional production methods and premium ageing process. The 100% blue agave is slow-cooked in brick ovens rather than modern autoclaves, preserving more complex flavours. The eight-month maturation in ex-bourbon American whisky casks imparts distinctive vanilla, hazelnut and spice notes that complement rather than mask the agave character, creating a more sophisticated sipping experience than mass-produced reposados.

This is a premium sipping tequila best enjoyed neat at room temperature in a snifter or rocks glass to concentrate the complex aromas. The artisanal quality and smooth profile make it perfect for contemplative tasting rather than mixing in cocktails. If you prefer it chilled, use a single large ice cube to avoid over-dilution, allowing the earthy agave and oak-derived flavours to shine through properly.

The medium-bodied profile and spiced finish make this tequila excellent with rich, savoury dishes. Try it alongside dark chocolate desserts to complement the bittersweet chocolate notes, or pair with grilled meats where the toasty oak and cinnamon spice enhance smoky flavours. Mexican cuisine like mole or aged cheeses also work beautifully, as the earthy agave and vanilla notes bridge traditional and contemporary flavour profiles.

The San Francisco World Spirits Competition Double Gold Medal recognises exceptional quality across all judging criteria including aroma, taste, finish and overall balance. This award reflects Clase Azul's masterful integration of traditional agave character with sophisticated oak influence from the ex-bourbon cask ageing. The complex layering of earthy agave, candied citrus, and warm spices demonstrates the level of craftsmanship that distinguishes premium artisanal tequilas from commercial offerings.

Eight months represents the sweet spot for reposado ageing, allowing sufficient time for the spirit to extract vanilla, spice and toasty oak characteristics from the ex-bourbon casks without overwhelming the distinctive blue agave flavours. This duration is longer than the minimum two-month requirement for reposado classification, demonstrating Clase Azul's commitment to quality over speed. The result is a harmonious balance where the wood enhances rather than dominates the natural agave nectar and earthy base notes.
