Ron Zacapa takes a completely unique approach to rum production by using the first press of sugar cane, known as virgin sugar cane syrup, rather than traditional molasses. The real magic happens high up in the Guatemalan mountains at a famous facility affectionately known as the House Above the Clouds. At over 2300 metres above sea level, the cool mountain air slows down the aging process, allowing the spirit to gracefully extract profound complexity from the barrels.
