Don't worry, try one of these

Why do we love this liqueur?

The Manly limoncello is mouthwateringly good. Made using a traditional family recipe from the Amalfi Coast and some of the distillery’s favourite foraged ingredients (aka local lemon aspen and lemon myrtle). Carefully selected Central Coast lemons were hand-peeled to ensure none of the unwanted bitter pith made its way into the infusion. The end result of that lovingly labourious process is a zesty AF, eminently drinkable drop. Just the right side of syrupy and semi-sweet with lemon meringue, honey, and sherbet flavours. We reckon this one is best served straight out of the freezer over ice.

Frequently Asked Questions

While this limoncello follows a traditional Amalfi Coast family recipe, it incorporates uniquely Australian native botanicals like lemon aspen and lemon myrtle alongside Central Coast lemons. These indigenous ingredients add distinctive citrus notes that you won't find in European limoncellos, creating a fusion of Old World technique with New World terroir. The hand-peeling process ensures only the aromatic oils from the lemon zest are captured, avoiding any bitter pith that could compromise the smooth, sweet profile.

Serve this limoncello straight from the freezer over ice for optimal enjoyment. The cold temperature enhances the refreshing citrus character while mellowing the sweetness, making it more balanced and drinkable. At freezer temperature, the liqueur develops a slightly syrupy consistency that coats the palate beautifully, allowing the lemon meringue and honey flavours to linger. This serving method is traditional in Italy and brings out the best in quality limoncellos.

This zesty limoncello excels in summer cocktails where its bright citrus profile can shine. Try it in a Limoncello Spritz with prosecco and soda water, or use it to add complexity to a classic gin and tonic. The honey and sherbet notes make it perfect for dessert cocktails, while the lemon myrtle adds an herbal dimension that pairs beautifully with vodka-based drinks. Its medium body means it won't get lost when mixed but won't overpower delicate spirits either.

The combination of traditional Italian technique with premium Australian ingredients has earned this limoncello recognition at prestigious competitions including the World Liqueur Awards and San Francisco World Spirits Awards. The careful hand-peeling process and use of native botanicals like lemon aspen creates a unique flavour profile that stands out in blind tastings. Award judges particularly appreciate the balance achieved between sweetness and acidity, plus the clean finish that avoids the cloying character found in many commercial liqueurs.

This limoncello's lemon meringue and honey characteristics make it an excellent companion to desserts, particularly lemon tart, panna cotta, or vanilla gelato. The sherbet-like qualities also pair wonderfully with fresh berries and stone fruits. For savoury applications, try it as a digestif after seafood dishes or use it to deglaze pans when cooking chicken or fish. The native Australian botanicals add enough complexity to complement cheese platters featuring creamy goat's cheese or mascarpone.
