Why do we love this gin?
Prohibition Liquor Co. began back in 2015 when two mates hatched a plan to start a gin distillery. They opened the doors to their Adelaide Distillery in 2017, featuring a beautiful 900L Copper Pot Still, nicknamed ‘Mary’. Fast forward to now, and all their multi-award-winning gin is still, to this very day, distilled in Mary, with bottling and production taking place at the Seppeltsfield Estate in the Barossa. PLCo's newly reimagined Seppeltsfield site is set within the historic grounds of Seppeltsfield Estate. Housed within the restored 1877 distillery, it has been transformed into a modern gin destination inside one of the Barossa’s most significant heritage buildings.
They've once again been recognised among the world’s best, taking home four major international honours at this year's World Drinks Awards in London, and at the prestigious Icons of Gin Awards, earning the brand's third Icons honour in as many years, & adding to an ever-growing trophy cabinet that now proudly boasts more than 300 international awards.
